Biography : Mr. Gerald W. Hokstad (also referred to as "Bill") is a Certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Specialization. He has been practicing law for over 25 years. For over a decade he successfully litigated personal injury and business dispute trials and appeals. Mr. Hokstad stays well educated on the law. Each day he reads the new appellate decisions that come out. His strong knowledge of the law makes Mr. Hokstad a feared opponent in court.
His passion in the law is to make a difference in other people's lives and to fight for justice. Mr. Hokstad is a proud member of Shadow Mountain Community Church. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Religion from Liberty University. He also has a Master of Arts in Theology from Bethel Theological Seminary.
He fulfilled many positions of leadership at the church in the past 30 years, from teacher to decant. He often volunteers helping feed the hungry at the Ronald McDonald House. He volunteers at many other church organized events. He way of life is to love, mercy, do justice and love thy neighbor as thyself.
Mr. Hokstad is also an award winning fisherman. He regularly completes in the professional tournaments. The first time he won the 1st place tournament was in 1997, one as recently as January, 2011, and many times over the years. In the past ten years he has been a member of the Outboard Motor Club, Rod & Reel Club, and the San Diego Anglers Salt Water Fishing Club.
